Logo Designs
From financial firms and technology companies, to wellness brands and social impact organizations, the logo is the key visual branding element that sets one group apart from the rest. The logo should align in color, typography, and composition with the client's business goals, meaning that designer and client must communicate, iterate, and refine concepts into one mark that's simple and unique.

BEFORE
AFTER
After many years of using the original abacus-inspired logo, Lightcounting was ready to update their branding in a way that better reflected the cutting-edge nature of their work providing in-depth analysis of optical communications around the world. The client was reluctant to shed the old concept entirely, so we created a new logo with a nod to the old abacus beads, but simpler. Applying a spectrum of color relates to the science of light and optics.
Big Orange Splot
original logo design

The Big Orange Splot by Daniel Pinkwater is a children's book about individuality, creativity, and nonconformity. When one house is splashed with orange paint, it is transformed it into a colorful, dream-like structure that inspires neighbors to repaint their own houses to reflect their unique personalities, creating a vibrant, diverse neighborhood. With this story in mind, the client wanted a playful, colorful logo to represent their work with nonprofits whose mission and vision serving children and families is brought to life by helping where it's most needed.

LACPECHVC
original logo design

The design process for the Los Angeles County Perinatal and Early Childhood Home Visitation Consortium was unique in that the decision was made by committee using a blind voting process. The final choice includes the skyline of Los Angeles with adults and children walking hand-in-hand. The art deco font choice was a nod to one of the defining architectural styles in the city, while also being clear and legible in a mark that includes a lot of text.
Back in Balance
original logo design

Logos for wellness brands is a crowded space, but this particular firm wanted something that represented the unique energy and combination of services offered. After a lengthy research and development process, this design with the three part Taijitu was selected for it's references to balance and the "three bodies" - the physical, energy, and spiritual bodies. Ignoring any one of these areas can lead to instability, whereas focusing on all three creates a balanced, energized, and fulfilled life.
