As a creative generalist, I have a keen interest in crafting curated solutions aligned to specific goals. From meeting planner to graphic designer, to non-profit founder and head of marketing – each role has sharpened my skill synthesizing big-picture strategies and unlocking creativity within constraints.

With more than 20 years working in design, marketing and strategy, I have developed and launched branding and marketing campaigns across a variety of industries and business sizes, and organizational structures. These initiatives include logo design, brand positioning, graphic design, video and photo editing, illustration and animation, copywriting, and digital marketing campaigns. Additionally, I have 25+ years of experience in meetings and events, managing the projects and logistics that bring people together.

Volunteer service has been a throughline of my career, particularly the arts and education, having applied my skills toward meeting the funding gap for several public schools. Seeing the dire need in Washington D.C., I co-founded GrantEd Foundation to provide a lifeline for Title I school teachers in need of support across the city.  All together, I'm proud to have played a part in raising more than $750,000 for public schools, with more than half of that specifically earmarked for arts education.

In addition to my current position as Marketing Director for a regional insurance brokerage, I operate JND Creative, an independent graphic design studio.

Co-Founder

GrantEd Foundation

GrantEd Foundation was founded to ensure that Washington DC teachers at Title I schools would no longer have to spend their own money to do their jobs. This revolutionary funding model puts educational philanthropic dollars directly into the hands of teachers and changed how the community supported their schools. GrantEd raised and distributed +$350K for public education from 2016-2022.

Design & Communications

Taste of H Event

What began as a typical fundraiser, grew into a lifeline for teachers across the District. In 2012, a group of motivated parents looking for a way to do more for their DC public school put together the first “Taste of H” - an evening of food and drink from H St. NE restaurants. Proceeds from ticket sales, donations, and live auction first supported J.O. Wilson Elementary School and then funded GrantEd.
